Paul Abrahams spent more than 15 years as an award-winning writer and bureau chief at The Financial Times. He was presented a national newspaper award by HRH Princess Diana for his coverage of the drugs industry. In 2003, he joined the San Francisco office of Waggener Edstrom, a leading communications agency. He was quickly appointed to the main board, as well as being made Managing Director of UK operations. During his time there, he advised some of the world’s leading corporations, including Microsoft, Mastercard, AMD, General Electric and GlaxoSmith-Kline. He joined Nomura in 2007 as Head of Corporate Communications for Europe and the Middle East. Mr Abrahams received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Modern History from Downing College Cambridge. He obtained his PhD from Darwin College, which is also in Cambridge. His book, “La Haute- Savoie contre elle-même, 1939-1945: les Hauts-Savoyards vus par l’administration de Vichy”, was published in France in 1997.
