Anke Schmidt has 13 years of professional experience in corporate communications in a multinational business environment. Since 2008, she has been head of the corporate communications for BASF, the world's leading chemical company with sales of over 50 billion euros and 105,000 employees worldwide. Her responsibilities include the areas of media relations, branding and advertising, corporate events, corporate publications and online. Anke's experience in change communications includes leading the global communication team for the integration of Ciba Specialty Chemicals, one of the largest acquisitions in BASF's history. In addition, she was in charge of the regional integration of Engelhard and Degussa Construction Chemicals in Asia in 2007.
