Elma Peters
Corporate Communications Director, Western Europe & Russia, GE
Elma Peters joined GE in March 2006, where she is responsible for corporate communications for Western Europe and Russia. She is tasked with protecting the company's reputation, defining the communications strategy and "Telling the GE Story" in those markets. Communications campaigns focus on demonstrating GE's leadership in helping to solve the world's toughest problems. Elma works with GE's diverse businesses on their communications programmes and initiatives and provides advice to GE executives on strategy and messaging.
Prior to joining GE, she worked at Honeywell, where she was Corporate Communications Manager for EMEA. Elma also worked at WorldCom and Aer Lingus- both in Ireland. She also spent three years working at the European Commission offices in Brussels.
Elma is a graduate of University College Dublin, with a B.A. in French and German. She holds a Diploma in Public Relations from the Institute of Public Relations in Ireland and a Diploma in Bilingual Administration (French) from the Waterford Institute of Technology.
